Wow, it’s been a January!
First, a trip to Cancun for stem cell therapy and all-inclusive Excellence resort.
We took the overnight flight to Cancun. We were thrilled about being on the first row of the plane, with no one between us! It was basically biz class, on a budget airline called Flare.
The only bad part about our flight was that there were 3 rowdy ladies in their mid to late 40s. Their laughs were so piercing! I told them off when they woke Mom up with their laughs. I should’ve done it earlier in the flight!
After we arrived, our driver didn’t come to us for 40 minutes. That was not great. I have forgotten the name of the private shuttle company, and even after I found the email, turned out they put the old name on their email.
Still we were in good spirit!
We arrived at Excellence resort early, around 10:30am.The resort is beautiful! We couldn’t check in, but we were able to eat and lounge around.
We caught the last 5 minutes of the breakfast buffet lol. It was quite impressive! Mexican, Japanese, American, and European foods.
Mom ate too much. I knew to pace myself for a nice dinner.
We then lounged around on the beach. The beach was so white, and the water was paradise blue and turquoise coloured! We both fell asleep at some point! Staff would come around to take drink orders from us. It was paradise.
During our entire time in Cancun, the weather was perfect. 24 degrees. Breezy. Short rain showers.
Finally we checked in. The room was nice! Mom even said it was the nicest room she’s stayed at.
There was palm tree view, a jacuzzi, rainfall shower, birthday cake for Mom, champagne, 2 comfy beds, and just beautiful decor.
For dinner, we tried French food. Mom was thrilled that there was sea bass on the menu. It’s her favourite fish! But, they turned out to taste different.
The snails were quite yummy though!
The next day, R3’s driver picked us up. The clinic has just Mom and I, and later on an old American who is doing it for the first time also.
There were 3 doctors and 1 nurse, plus 1 more doctor that later came in to do my hip injection. Oh and an amicable receptionist.
The entire experience was fine. A bit more awkward in the beginning, with some language barrier, but we warmed up to one another.
The nurse was able to get Mom’s vein on first try! They took like 10 viles of blood from mom, and only 3 from me, for the PRP.
They began our IV drip. We did that for maybe 20 minutes, then they prepped me for hip injection.
The doctor was young. He wasn’t sure whether to pull my shorts down or up for the injection. I wondered if he had done it before.
He was very good about explaining things to me though! He put gel on me, then put the ultrasound device over. I see my ultrasound on the big TV, and was tempted to ask, is it a boy or a girl? But I didn’t want to make him laugh and distract him lol
He explained to me that the dark parts on the screen were my bones, and the grey parts were muscles and tendons. He had a short line of area that he can inject safely. And when he did, I can barely see the needle on the screen. it’s really interesting.
My hip felt swollen, which was kinda painful and uncomfortable. But that went away quickly.
Next, the main doctor, Dr. Daniel, did my scalp with a microneedling pen. Turned out it’s just a Dr. Pen!
Turned out he also does face microneedling with exosomes, so after our therapy, Mom and I did that too!
Mom got an older doctor to do her knees. He tried to be a bit flirty with her but she didn’t quite catch that lol
I was pretty thrilled to get microneedling done!
We got back to the resort, and felt pretty good! Thinking back, it must’ve been the PRP and Vitamins in our IV that acted so quickly.
We set out to have lunch at the Lobster House, which turned out to be our favourite since, and the only place we dined lol
The Lobster House is the most iconic restaurant on the resort. It has its own moat / pool!
We had lobsters (dinner only), crap cakes, scallop cerviche, coconut prawns, shrimp cerviche, tortillas with organic guacamole, and many yummy foods.
People on the resort are mostly white couples. One Mother and Son pair was from New York, and the mom would come to chat with us a bit. It was nice. We mostly wanted to keep to ourselves though.
I was working a lot, trying to get the Rune and Love collection launch emails out before V Day. Mom was fine with that as she didn’t want to do much. No pool, no beach. She watched her politics shows or slept while I worked. When I slept, she sometimes makes her tea, sorts her luggage and money.
After stem cell therapy, we had one full day at the resort the next day. We just ate, napped, and ate some more. And hopped on our devices at night.
We discovered a dessert shop. Unlimited ice cream! Too bad it wasn’t the yummiest! Also unlimited juices, yogurts, baked good desserts, and sandwiches.
They had a Mexico night on our last night. With loud performances that Mom and the other mom both can’t stand. The food set up was really impressive though.
There would also be magic/comedy on stage, aqua zumba, beach volleyball, pool volleyball, and other activities. We didn’t participate in any. Mom didn’t even put her swim suit on. I was ok to not do these since I was with Mom. Normal me would’ve done them all!
I did try out the jacuzzi though and that was pretty good! I put my pussy to the jet stream hahahah. That felt quite good actually.
The night we had our stem cells, I was pretty horny.
Coming home, we sat near the exits so lots of leg room again. No one between us again.
There were maybe 5 or 6 kids on the flight, mostly little boys. Surprisingly, only 1 cried and screamed during the 6.5h flight. Mom got to hold a little boy for a while. She was asking the boy’s mom if she can lol. Seemed like a pervert doing it.
I was happy to be home in Vancouver! I was so tired and couldn’t wait to be back to my apartment.
But Mom was super anxious about her next flight. She made me take the shuttle with her to the south side of the airport. She’s getting older. She is less independent, less clear-minded, more anxious. Sigh. I hope the therapy will help bring back some youth for both of us.
When I got home, Mom called to let me know that it’s time to put in an offer (not sure why….another buyer put in an offer but backed out).
She wanted me to call James. Ugh. I jus wanted to shower and buy some groceries.
I called him. All sorted. Later that night, Mom called me again. In our convo, she said that she had told James, “My daughter said we can just pay full price”.
I was mad. I said, “Please don’t put words in my mouth. You said this, I didn’t.” She seemed like an idiot wanting to pay full price. I didn’t want to be dragged down.
She got mad, and said, “Whatever”. I was mad, because, I had just spent hours giving her door to door concierge service, and called James despite me being super tired. And this was how she treated me? So I said “Whatever”, and we both hung up.
For the next couple of days, I was still mad.
I think she felt that it was her fault, so she just called me a lot and acted like nothing was wrong.
I had no smile and no excitement when I talked to her.
Even when our offer was accepted, I was still mad.
She called to say, Congratulations!
I said it back to her. After all, it was the house she wanted, and I’m buying it for her. I haven’t even seen the house!
Throughout this, she was so afraid to not get the house. It annoyed me.
Though, it is rare to find a house that only has 1 level, has a lot of light, and is recently renovated.
I had liked another house, but it was $3.48 million.
The house we got was listed at $1.749M and we got it for $1.7M.
Then the next step is financing it.
James hasn’t been the most helpful. He said that Mom said we’d pay cash, so he didn’t give us a lot of time to set up a mortgage.
I started looking at mortgage lenders, and learning everything about mortgages as I talk to each one (as well as learning from Reddit).
They want my biz tax filing for the past 2 years.
Turned out Irene my accountant didn’t file them yet.
Stress was building up, as our closing date might been too soon for me to get a mortgage.
But as of yesterday, after the inspection had passed, we were able to extend the closing date to March 31st.
So far I’ve talked to 6 or 7 mortgage brokers, and I should be able to get the funds no problem. I have $8.9M in IBKR and $2M in TD. (I still need to give John $0.6M)
It was such a stressful past week, and so interruptive of my work, but, I guess these things happen. Worse if I had kids and a husband!
I also didn’t love that I’m spending on this big ticket item instead of growing my wealth…but then, if not now, when? Mom is 75 now. She wants this house. I should be grateful that I have the privilege to buy the place for her! Plus, she wanted the cheaper one lol.
Now the pressure has lessened, and I’m not mad at Mom anymore, so overall feeling better.
Next up, flying to Austin in 3 days, for ECF Mastermind Live!
I kind of would rather stay here to work on my biz, but already committed to it.
It’ll be warmer there. AND, they have iFly! I’ve been wanting to try it out!
I’m not holding my breath on being able to learn much. I already have a plan. I also don’t count on meeting a cute guy to hook up with.
Not expecting the world, but ready for the world 😀
I’m a couple days away from my period, and I’ve been wet and horny. I thought, oh good, that means I still have lots of hormones. But I looked it up, and turned out a drop in estrogen and progesterone can make testosterone felt more, causing arousal. Waht.
I also have been having a mild headache today.
I put a bit of estrogen cream and wild yam cream. I think it helped.
I’ve been fantasizing about Paul Jackson and I in a hotel room and a jacuzzi haha.
In a recent Hampton core group meeting, Austin was finally closer to the camera and I can see his face better. He is actually quite cute! I’m looking forward to meeting up with him in Miami for our Raccoon Island trip haha
I hope we can make out, maybe even hookup. I hope it’s gonna be super fun!
Oh, one important thing:
We had our stem cell therapy on Wednesday, Jan 15th.
On Saturday, Mom’s knees were in pain and swollen. My left hip was also in pain when I lift my leg up backwards. I had to be careful when I walked.
On Sunday, it got a lot worse for Mom and a little worse for me.
By Sunday night, I was better. Mom took an anti-inflammatory and felt better.
By Monday I was all good, but Mom took another 4, 5 days.
I was taking a lot of supplements though. After the pain came on, I took these for about 4 days: (everything that is supposed to help proliferate the stem cells or protect them)
- Methylene Blue (sometimes)
- Ginko
- Turmeric + Pepper
- Colostrum
- Choline
- Lion’s mane (once)
- BioComplete
- l-Taurine
- Cocoa (just 2 nights)
- Cordyceps
- l-Lysine
- Milk thistle
- Fo-ti
- Spirulina
- NAD+ (niacin, Vitamin C, astaxanthin, CoQ10, hyaluronic acid)
- NMN
- Omega-3
- Quercetin
- Glutathione
- chanda piedra (just because it’s there and it helps liver and kidney)
I was shocked that I have so many supplements in my cupboards lol. And so many supposedly help stem cells! Hope I didn’t kill off my inflammatory response though.
Overall I feel just as tired. My skin has seen some improvements but also still not great. Also, quite dry.
